About Us

Hey y'all!

We are a group TCK girls. That stands for Third Culture Kids. We either have parents from different countries or we are growing up in a region that cannot entirely be called home. Either way, we have a mixed-culture upbringing. So we do understand what it means not to belong, and not to fit in.

We are from our current local community youth group, hoping to share some of what has been shared with us. Life views, Music choices, Arts, Bible verses that have touched our lives in the past week and perhaps, even advice of sorts.

If not for any other reason, do join us for some clean girly fun. ;)

Signing off,
Jacey, Bella, Skye, Emily :)

What's up?? It's Emily! xoxo

Hey everyone it's Emily! How was your day? I would like to tell y'all a little bit about myself! :)
So my family lived in Papua New Guinea when I was "conceived" :P and then flew back and had me in America. So no I was not born in PNG but I was raised there. I lived there till I was 4 and moved to America for a couple years. When I was around 8 or 9 my family moved to Malaysia and we have been living here for almost 5 years! I have been a follower of Jesus for about 9-8 years and plan on following him the rest of my life! <3

Official Introduction (Bella)

Hey y'all! I thought it would only be proper to properly introduce myself before diving in too deep....
My name is Bella and I am a third culture kid who has a deep passion for Jesus and the expansion of his kingdom... I was born in Malaysia But i am 50% american. growing up in an international environment I have a wide range of experience in not belonging. I don't think that I could ever settle back in the USA after my life so far so considering my background I aspire to be a missionary doctor and help children in Africa come to know good health and the good news. I have known and love jesus ever since i could comprehend him and forevermore. i am going to be blogging about different topics in everyday life that we deal with and how to live the life of a true Christ follower walking with Jesus every step of the way. I am on my spiritual pilgrimage alongside many of you visiting this page and I am just sharing what I learn and how I interpret things... What I say is not written in stone (the only thing that is is God's word) it is just my personal views on the word of our Lord. My page is "bible basics", which can be found at the top of the home page.
I hope you all with continue to join me as I venture through the Bible and walk alongside our Lord through all the ups and downs of teenage life

Jacey's

Alright, my turn for the introductions.

My name is Jacey, I'm fine with Jay any day. I've got Malaysian and American blood running through my veins, although I can safely say that I have never lived in the US of A. I grew up in a mostly Chinese environment and it was no surprise when I did not fit in, at all. A social outcast, especially because I looked different, I had great difficulty coming to terms with the fact that I could possibly belong anywhere. Before I found a TCK community, I was mixed-blood with a unexplainable American accent who could belong everywhere, and belong no where.

I accepted the Lord at the age of 7, promptly due to the jealousy of my younger brother being baptized before me. No matter, my relationship with God grew and with it, came a sense of comfort and belonging. I now have a home.

Skye here :)

I guess I should probs say something about me too - I'll start off with my nationality since it's a big thing when you're a TCK. I'm the only Brit in our group of four - but I'm also half Malaysian and proud.

I've lived in England and Germany and am currently living in Malaysia. I speak English, German and I'm learning French, failing Malay and I love humanities and God. I'm in charge of the Boy Advice page - probably because I'm extremely boy crazy.

I've been a Christian since I was 5, my parents were great influences on me. My little brother also became a Christian when he turned 5 and we've loved attending church and youth group since forever. God is my saviour, and he's the only reason I was able to get over a tough time in my life. If you have any questions, or need any help, e-mail me at skyedo98@gmail.com

xoxo
